The Experience We Need

Running to represent Bridgton, Denmark & Harrison in District 83

About Tim

I grew up in a working-class neighborhood in Boston where hard work was the way forward. I started delivering newspapers at 10, bagging groceries in eighth grade, and worked my way up while putting myself through college and three graduate programs.

I built my career as a tax attorney helping businesses grow, solve complex problems, and create jobs. I’ve also invested my own money in small businesses, so I understand what it takes to build something that supports real people and real communities. After years working in big firms, I’m focused on putting that experience to work here at home.

Too many kids in our towns are going hungry. Property taxes are pushing people out of their homes. Healthcare is expensive and hard to access. And our economy makes it tough to get ahead year-round.

I’m running because this community deserves someone who understands how policy actually works, who will show up, listen, and get things done. I’ve spent my career solving problems and creating opportunities—and I’m ready to do that here.

  • I grew up in a family where every dollar mattered. I understand what it means to work hard and still feel the pressure of making ends meet. And I also know that the opportunities I had—the support of family, schools, and community—made all the difference. I want to make sure those same opportunities exist for everyone here.

  • I’ve spent more than two decades helping businesses and their owners navigate complex legal, tax and business systems, and I’ve helped build small businesses that employ hundreds of people. I understand the real-life meaning and mechanics of policy, and I want to put that understanding to work for you.

  • I started delivering newspapers at 10, bagging groceries at the local Star Market in 8th grade, and kept going from there. I worked my way up from bagger to cashier to night shift service department manager by the time I left for college. During the summers after high school and my early college years I worked as a plumber’s helper and an overnight security guard at a mental health hospital.

What Matters Most

Economic Development & Jobs

I’ve spent my career helping businesses grow and creating jobs, and I know what it takes to build a strong local economy. I will work to support small businesses, attract new investment, expand broadband and infrastructure, and create real opportunities so people can live and work here year-round.

Child Poverty, Education & Childcare

No child in our district should go hungry, and no child’s future should be limited by their circumstances. I will fight to strengthen our schools, expand access to affordable childcare, and make sure families have the support they need so every kid has a fair shot.

Property Taxes & Cost of Living

People in Bridgton, Harrison, and Denmark are working hard and still feeling squeezed. Rising property taxes and everyday costs are pushing families and retirees to the edge. I will work to ease the burden on homeowners and make sure the state is doing its part instead of shifting costs onto local communities.

Healthcare Access & Affordability

Healthcare in our district is too expensive and too hard to access, especially for our aging population. I will focus on bringing down costs, expanding access to care, and making sure our local providers have the support they need to serve this community.

Infrastructure & Broadband

If we want our communities to thrive, we need to invest in the basics. That means reliable roads, modern infrastructure, and high-speed internet in every part of the district. I will work to make sure rural communities like ours aren’t left behind.

Protecting Our Lakes & Environment

Our lakes and natural resources are central to both our way of life and our local economy. I will work to protect water quality and preserve the environment so future generations can enjoy the same Maine we do today.

Past Accomplishments

After law school, I built a career as a tax attorney at top-tier law firms: Testa Hurwitz & Thibeault, Goodwin Procter, Akin Gump (where I made partner), and Choate Hall & Stewart (where I was a partner and built the tax group). I also served as in-house tax counsel at AIG, advising senior executives on complex financial transactions.

Today, I run a solo law practice advising businesses on tax matters, and I invest in and support small businesses.
